Why dull weather is good..

It was dull and overcast today so I took the opportunity to go to my local Southwater Country Park to look for damselflies roosting in the long grasses. 
I find it much easier to photograph skitty damselflies when it is cooler and they are less inclined to fly off when you try to approach them and my patience was rewarded by this beautiful  female blue-tailed damselfly Ischnura elegans form violacae, my absolutely favorite blue damselfly!
