One More Goodbye
These are some of our camp buddies. Actually they've been lifetime friends. We've known Bob & Cheri since the mid-80s when we all attended the same church and all of our kids were young. Then they moved to Burbank, CA, later they moved to Grapevine, TX, then Deidder, Louisana, and now Tyler, TX. Camp was immensely better for us because they were there too and their two grown daughters, Jessie and Emily, and their families.
Emily and her hubby and two little boys flew home to Texas Sunday.
Jessie is here without her hubby, Billy, because he is a caddy for Jason Bohn on the pro-golf circuit. Sunday Bohn finished 2nd! That made Billy's missing camp have a bit more meaning. We all missed Billy, but we sure enjoyed little Zack who was with us last year at camp and became good buddies with our little great grandson, Tristan.
The four of them stayed in southern California a few extra days to visit with family and get some business tasks done. When Bob & Cheri sent us a text yesterday to say that the four of them were coming to our city for lunch, we were thrilled. They love dining at Miguel's Jr. so whenever they're in California they make it a tradition to come to Corona for a meal.
Lunch today was so enjoyable. Saying "Goodbye" again was not. We love these guys. Bob's nickname is Mr. Breakfast. He and Mr. Fun are best friends. They both love sports cars and speak a racing language that few others understand.
The four of them will fly from LAX tomorrow and be home in Texas by evening. Jessie is a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines and she is on call this weekend, so Zack will go home with his grandparents, which will be just fine with him. He loves to play in their pool.
So today stretched our camp fun a bit further and now puts the final conclusion on family camp for 2012.
Evening is arriving in Southern California. Oh boy! Mr. Fun will be home soon.

P.S. I have just about gotten all the back-blips for last week's family camp posted. One more and I think I'm going to make a collage, so it will take a bit longer to get it completed. My favorite photo is Thursday's. The truth is that I like them all; I had so much fun capturing the sunrise each morning.
