Number Crunching

It would appear that a red balloon is coming my way today to celebrate a blip number that I could hardly have imagined possible 6++ years ago and certainly was doubtful about this time last year when Blipfoto was in danger of folding.
However thanks to the initiative of the brave foursome and the monetary support from blippers worldwide, my journal and I live to tell the tale and collect the balloons.

To celebrate the occasion we had the use of four wheels from the City Car Club and drove through rain and cold cheerless gloom ( it read 8 degrees Celsius or 46 degrees Fahrenheit on the car dial) to visit a fellow Blipper's new venture in Gifford.

Cameron  Mcvean has just taken over the village café there and named it the Lanterne Rouge in a nod to the pelotons of cyclists who will use it as they pedal their way along the highways and byways of East Lothian.
As well as delicious cakes, scones, coffee and tea, he can offer cycle parts, spare tubes, the use of a track pump and warm accessories such as muffs. One wall is given over to an OS map of the area, so that there can be no reason for getting lost.
I hope the venture is a success. It deserves to be, for the welcome and charm of mine host.

Meanwhile we await the 'sizzling summer' forecast by the met office.

I couldn't not blip the lovely Gifford Church which is my extra photo
