Seeing Things

Could this idiosyncratic street grating in Perth really have been designed as a take on Munch's scream or are we seeing things?

The sun shone on us, and on the countryside with the rape fields dazzling an impossible yellow against the green of the fields. The weather was all the more appreciated in view of the storm apparently waiting for us in the wings.
