Built in Strathaven
Strathaven a small former market town on the edge of the Glasgow conurbation is known for many past attributes like lacemaking and weaving but tonight I learn for the first time it also had a clockmaker.
Today's Blip feature a grandfather clock built ( is that the right word?) in Strathaven and now has pride of place in the former offices of The Town Mill.
P.S. The boardroom of The Town Mill is magnificently lined with original wood panelling from The Kaisers yacht after it was requisitioned at the end of the First World War and taken to Inverkeithing in Scotland to be broken-up.
