Two Pals

We first encountered Peter and Chris on ORIBI as we overtook them at the entrance to the East Kyle. So began a game of cat and mouse, through the narrows and out of the West Kyle with a stiff breeze on the nose. Round Ardlamont and a good reach at 7 knots to Portavadie with ORIBI back in the lead. Finally we berthed on adjacent fingers at the marina.

Living in Durham and Hartlepool respectively they make considerable effort to sail throughout the season as they have done for many years. There is no anchorage or rock in the Firth of Clyde they do not know intimately.

Peter and Chris two characters, two quite different personalities, both very non-PC, united in common purpose of escape that sailing provides.
