The day could have been smoother - we had to find a bike shop in Galashiels because my gears had stopped working, but the friendly guy at Happy Trail Bike Workshop came up trumps and fixed them for a tenner. And it certainly could have been warmer and dryer, but we made good progress and arrived at our overnight stay just after 5.00. Tomorrow we go over Carter Bar - lots of climb...
