Burn O'Vat invasion of the giant turtle
Difficult choice today, the Burn O'Vat is what I came out for...straight after work, drive west and parked up near Loch Kintore to see this giant kettlehole which was carved out by huge glacial meltwater streams. I cycled through a lovely birchwood along a winding burn, came to a cliff, squeezed through a gap and ended up in here! From this view it looks like a giant turtle peeks its head inside, with a bit of greenery still in its mouth.
The difficult choice was which photo to choose as my main one, the extra shows the lovely Aberdeenshire countryside at its best, seen from a lay-by called the "Queen's View".
