Western Great Egret(Ardea alba)

A Great Egret enjoying being one of the only birds on the beach. I suppose that white plumage is good at reflecting the sun and of course, even when the sun is strong a bird still has to feed. I think we may be experiencing a bit of a temperature drop after last week being in the high forties, which is great and it may well give me the opportunity to get out a bit further afield, plus teack down those elusive baby Bee-eaters!
