Green Bee-eater(Merops orientalis) juvenile

The sad news is that the Bee-eater chicks have not been seen for over a week, of course it may be all fine and that they are alive and well, but I have also seen only one parent, this one back on the cable and this tree branch(they have their favourites)
It has been incredibly hot which also may be a reason for a no-show. Luckily the weather forecast says that the temperature is set to go back to more reasonable figures! I really hope that they turn up again soon.
The extra is of a date palm absolutely loaded with dates! (Special dates as well)
