From Homestead to Homestead

I found a robin homestead at the
home built by my Dad some 80
plus years ago.  We were traveling
back from Mackinac and stopped
in at the place I grew up.  If you look
carefully at the birds' nest you will see
tiny bits of fluff that denotes hatchlings.

You will also see a log end that was
the genesis of the original log cabin.
Later as our family expanded,
my Dad added two bedrooms, kitchen
and bath.  You can see the home as it
looks in the extra photo.  I come from
humble origins, but am proud of those
origins.
