The Bride

How beautiful she is!

Today is the day when our friends Suzy + Steve tied the knot.

We chugged it hundreds of miles down south to find a load of lusciously familiar faces, all dolled up in their best + clutching onto glasses of free booze, milling about indulging in celebratory chats about how momentous the occasion was. The wedding reception filled an extensive barn, complete with gorgeous colourful adornings, a yurt filled with children and straw bales and beautifully painted murals on the wall. Evaporating country lanes circled their way around us, with simmering uprising steam purring in the new sun as delicately dressed guests made their way between camping, croquet and twirling about to Northern Soul.

There was a whole room set aside to host the hordes of cakes that people had made for the occasion; why would you ever only have one wedding cake if you could have twenty! As soon as it was made apparent that it was time to dive in, swarms of suits and skirts and the some-in-between's hauled over to the filling stations gorging on all sorts of sweet-sweet scrumptiousness, whilst stamping their finger prints in green pigment thus signing the guest book Tree Of Love.

As the perfect summer day grew into evening, and the tractor ride had done its circuit with fluttering dress garments breaking momentarily loose in its movement, it was time for the cob pizza oven to be fired up and a long happy evening of endless dancing and increasing flailing to begin. Nick and Rich and Dan went down to a local cider brewery and swaggered back to the party with kegs full of micro brewed beauty for everyone to slurp on - it's possible this might have something to do with everyone's fast developing murky suits + posh frocks, or perhaps it was the swaying gatherings around the roaring fire that led us so dramatically far from soberness and the tumblings into ditches that might clarify the unexplainable mud steins.

Thank you for inviting us to share your beautiful day X X X
