can a woodpecker peck?

Up visiting my Dad. We went to the Fochabers woods for a walk and I noticed these woodpecker holes. Didn't see any of the culprits though sadly.

I also resurrected an old garage bike by simply pumping up the tyres. It has probably been something like 15 years or maybe more since it was last ridden and I am extremely impressed it still goes. I am pleased as it gives me something to ride about on when I am up. I had hoped I might run into its former owner (not literally) as he will also be very impressed to see his old bike again!
