Hoy

We visited the island of Hoy which has much higher hills than mainland Orkney, and walked the 6.5km to Rackwick and then back, unfortunately not having enough time to go further to the Old Man of Hoy. Warm weather one side of the island, perishing wind on the other.

Later, on arriving back in Stromness, the folk festival was in full swing and we managed to get into an amazing gig celebrating the birthday of a son of Orkney Ivan Drever.
