Scratch . . . or . . . .

. . . . No dogs were hurt in the making of this collage!

J brought Scratch round last night, complete with her bed, toys, lead, towel, poo bags, food and some nice tasty biscuits for her to share with Ollie. We had a late night walk so everyone was nice and tired and there wasn't a squeak from Scratch until the morning.

Today we've had an hour or so up on the headland and, as you can see, they really let off steam and had a great time, chasing each other and play fighting. Although Ollie is many times bigger than Scratch, he is very gentle and patient and is not aggressive at all, but when she annoys him too much he does know how to sort her out! She launches herself at him and grabs an ear or his top lip or, more generally, a mouthful of hair, and holds on for dear life!

Very quickly she realised that her best method of attack was to be on higher ground than him, just slightly uphill, throw herself at him and try and push him onto the ground. They roll over and over and seem perfectly matched for a bit of rough play, which is fine in the fields, but not on the cliff path!

Now it is all peaceful and calm. They are both lying sleeping, exhausted, Scratch in Ollie's bed, Ollie on the rug, and I can catch up with a bit of emailing and blip commenting!
