To men of a certain age the call sign is unmistakeable... It signifies heroism against the odds, implausible derring do, and guns that never run out of bullets. 

I'm convinced that George Lucas used Where Eagles Dare as the basis for the infiltration of the Death Star in Star Wars Episode IV. And he more or less admitted that he used 633 Squadron and The Dambusters as the inspiration for the canyon attack at the end of the same film.

Anyway so much for late night movies. I had a typically busy day and a fairly typical public board meeting to get through. Very glad to see the back of that lot.

TSM cooked a fantastic spaghetti and aubergine dish for supper and we snuggled on the patio as the sun went down. Then we had Richard Burton as Obi Wan Kenobi ... if you get my meaning ...
