Going up!

This house is located on the island where I was born.  I knew the old couple who lived there. The Adams House. His parents owned the property and a store and hotel. The house is well over 100 yrs old. It has stood through many bad storms and was still sound enough to jack up. I know the tide has been in this old house once in my lifetime. Maybe more than that in other hurricanes. The land is very low-lying. The new owner is giving the old house a new and very high foundation...new lease on an even longer life. Mr. & Mrs. Adams are looking down tonight and smiling. That I am sure of.
