Wildflower meadow
This is what passes for a wildflower meadow in my garden. It is actually a plot about 5m x 3m at the bottom of the garden, surrounding the pear tree I photographed yesterday. I deliberately don't mow it until late summer to let the wild flowers and grasses grow freely.
So far, as well as nettles, I can see buttercups, lesser celandines, forget-me-nots and a deep pink flower which may or may not be a cranesbill. This is also where my bluebells grow, but they are all finished flowering now. I'm sure some of you will be able to name a lot more than me.
