Caarrrrr-ni-vaaaalllll
Today was the 40th Luton Carnival, and it had a couple of differences from previous years. The route did not go through the town centre (which caught a few people out), and the Samaritans weren't the last float in the parade. How are you supposed to know when it is over if they change the last float!
I managed to get a reasonably good position on a corner, and it gave me a chance to get more used to the X-Pro2.
The charity that daughter No 1 works for were represented and they were following Grandson No 1's school, however, the sun shone and it got quite warm and as some of the children were suffering from the heat, they peeled off of the parade before it passed me and headed back to the school. I did get some shots of them on their way to the parade though.
The usual people were out selling horns, whistles and wiggly worms. This seller had a slightly different line.
I've added a few extras from the parade.
