Malton Food Festival

This morning we decided to pop across to the Malton Food Festival. Knowing it would be busy we set off reasonably early and were glad we did. Parking is always a problem at these events and even with local knowledge we were struggling eventually heading to the main car park only to find it was free on a Sunday. Very much a bonus as we had passed lots of adverts for parking for £5 a day!

It was good to wander around before the crowds arrived. It has built up a reputation over the years and now attracts people from across the country to sell their wares.  Lots of artisan bread on offer...... at a price.

By about 11am we had had enough and my knee was complaining so we travelled back home in surprisingly light traffic. The best of the day was this afternoon - just hoping it continues for the York Urban Orienteering Event tomorrow. I will be helping rather than running but Richard will try to fit a run in before the crowds slow progress roung the city centre.
