little rascal

the Mister brought me a handful of wild flowers and bits from the garden for the blipping of.  he was most taken with this tiny snail, whose shell is probably less than 5mm across. 

i took a couple of batches of pics and wasn't really satisfied with any of them, so i returned to the bowl of flowers to have another go and the little rascal had done a runner, leaving behind 2 even tinier snails c. 2mm & 1mm.  i was only gone a few minutes....how fast can they run?

the main pic was my first attempt, the extra is from the second batch of photos.  not sure which is better.  if i find the runaway i may have another bash at it.
