By the Waterside

Excellent day walking from Pertisau to Maurach at the southern end of the Achensee then climbing up to the Astenau Alpe (where yet another mountain guest hut waited to tempt us with coffee and cakes) and St Notburga's Chapel (see the extra).

This new viewing platform provides an additional viewpoint along the lakefront.
