Spent the night in Winchester. It was very weird - I was in the same room I have been for 2 years, but it was so empty and echoey, and I was in a sleeping bag.
We had breakfast pastries and watched the other half of the film we were too tired to finish last night. Had a quick walk to recycle some glass, then suncreamed up. The walk into town was so tiring - we had our heavy rucksacks, sleeping bags, and 4 huge bags of stuff for the charity shops. And my gosh it was hot.
Put our films in Jessops, got some lunch and ate in the shade by the cathedral, then walked to give our keys back. Looked at our photos over a soya iced latte in Costa, then up to the station.
Our train back to Reading normally takes about 35 minutes. Today, however, we got just outside of Basingstoke, and stopped. Middle of nowhere, stuck behind another (broken down) train. We were sat there for over an hour and a half.
In that time we played some cards, ate some caramel waffles and had a major shampoo explosion incident. It was all over everything.
Finally got home about 4 hours after we left. I'm hot.
