Virpazar Monumnent
A lazy morning sitting in the sun followed by a swim.
This afternoon we went to Skadar Lake. The area is a National Park covering 400 square kilometres, bordered to the East by Albania it is enclosed by mountains on three sides. One such range provided an "interesting" drive for us. The area has a rugged beauty and we think e will return for a boat trip on the lake.
This is a memorial to those who died in WWII in a small town (I use the term very loosely) called Virpazar; it has only been erected in the last 20 years presumably because some died fighting the RedArmy.
Virpazar is the main harbour on the Montenegrin side of the lake. We took a road that was supposed to go along the side of the lake; perfectly OK if nothing came the other way but if it did it was scary.
