Exploring

Luckily it has been quite warm but more importantly remained dry with lots of spells of sunshine popping out between the very black clouds.

Had put the geese in a penned off section of the chickens covered and glassed in run. Warm but less than ideal as they have problems making out sawdust from the manufactured food pellets they are getting. By midday let them out on to grass, most of the time under a netted cage with lots of shade. They lapped it up.

In the evening we tried out first herding - from the cage back in to the indoor area. Flash of course took charge and in his wonderful, quiet manner he went through the process. As always he was convinced he had single handed saved the world, banished poverty, cured all illnesses and secured EU freedom for all Border Collies by the time the geese were in their overnight lodgings and he got the pat on the head for his brilliant work. We simply ignore that I had to carry most of them!
