Sometimes you cannot see the wood
For the trees are in the way
Denial puts a slant on things
Making the truth much harder to say
You want to put your hands up
And admit you may have failed
But addiction just won't let you
It has your mind and body jailed

I learned about addiction today and how powerful it is and I don't mean kettlercise even tho it was an awesome class tnight! After you admit to needing help it takes a long time to actually believe that enough to do something about it and even when you do, it's really difficult to stick to because withdrawals are so painful. I have a lot of respect and really feel for people stuck in this vicious cycle but glad I can do something to help however small that might be.
