Windows to X-ray

Took Friend to her regular meeting with consultant - she hoped the results from her hip scan would be back - they were. Not good news - cancer has spread to her hip socket. She will have a dose of radiotherapy to stall it. She is already in pain when walking and the radiotherapy may increase this, so I fear she will be housebound for a while at least. 
Consultant as usual lacked any sort of humanity and was rude, brusque, patronising and uninformative. She intends to write a letter and has asked me to help. I fear it  is too late and wish she had done so after the first catastrophic chemo at the beginning over a year and a half ago. But it is good to see her fighting.
