A shining jewel

Found this chap lurking in my newly planted border. He was nearly 1in long and shining so brightly in the sunlight. He looks like he has been through the wars.

I got my first email today from Conventboy2 who is out in Thailand for the next month. He says it is very hot there and I cant help comparing that with the cold here.
