Tristan and I went to Laguna de Cuiocha. Like many things in Ecuador it was beautiful, but limited. You drive up see the lake and there isn't much else to do. There is a trail that goes around the lake, but it takes 5-6 hours (which wasn't happening) and it is recommended to not hike because of robberies. We also arrived later in the day, so there probably would not have been enough daylight. On the way back to Ibarra, we stopped in Cotacachi and wandered around. It is the prettiest city I have seen in Ecuador, so far. It is known for its leather products. There were some fantastic products.
