Destination
On Tuesday, I walked for about 8 miles around Kinder, in bright sunshine and, for most of that, could see the entire route and clearly locate the end point - which was also the start point.
This morning I walked for about 6 miles along a stretch of the Pennine Way, high above Littleborough. It is a route I have walked many times and feel I know every rock and every puddle. Today there was thick mist so the visibility was down to about 50 metres. This made it feel, wrongly, unfamiliar.
Is it always better to have a clear destination?
