Slioch

Day 2 of our hillwalking get together and JC and I were accompanied by RJ who arrived late last night at the Ledgowan Hotel.

Today we did Slioch and this was a particularly sweet hill as we 'did' this hill back in 2009 but in a rare error of judgement we made it all the way to the 980m trig point in terrible weather only to discover on our return to the bunkhouse at Kinlochewe that the true summit at 981m a very short distance ahead.

We just couldn't see it in poor conditions.

Anyway, lesson learned and we redid this splendid hill and made it back to the hotel for last food orders and a few celebratory pints.

A further 3 walking buddies arrived as well for the BIG WALK tomorrow.
