A'Mhaighdean & Ruadh Stac Mor

Today was our big long day!

6 set off from Achnasheen at 6am with bikes and supplies for the long trip in from Poolewe.

We cycled 10 miles from the car park to the Causeway that separates Fionn Loch & Duch Loch.

The route through the forest wasn't too bad but the route down to the Causeway was quite treacherous. Two of the group came off their bikes.

It was very hot but we managed the 14 mile walk up to reach the summits of the two Munro's.

We lost two walkers on the route up. They found it quite tough and returned before reaching the summits.

I got a puncture on the way back but still we got back the car for 9pm. So a 14 hour day.

Another one of the group came off the bike and took a sore one to the face but was ok.

I enjoyed my one pint as I just made it back for last orders.
