Architectural details

Ruined Elgin Cathedral . This is the chapter house that seemed to be mostly intact.I suspect because it could be used for other things. The cathedral was burned by an irritated nobleman in the 1300's , repaired , then destroyed in the Reformation. The ceiling ,at the points where the arches meet , would have had various faces looking down on you . Some were placid ,calm figures, supposed to symbolize the peace that comes from being a pious soul, and others were leering or angry. Showing emotions was supposed to be of the devil, apparently.
We missed a whiskey tour ( it was Sunday ) and so went to the Cairngorm National Park , walked around the edges and apparently picked up a few ticks ( one each ) along the way. I simply forgot about all the deer.
