Catch of the day! (for me anyway)

This animal appeared in the choppy sea alongside Whitby Harbour, and proved quite difficult to catch as he would appear for just a moment, dive and appear half a mile away!
It's times like these when I appreciate the 30X Zoom and viewfinder on the TZ70 compact, while a couple of DSLR owners were looking for a long lens in their gadget bags. needless to say he or she was gone before they could swop lenses.
This shot was taken at 30X which would require a 750mm lens on a DSLR.
Imagine how heavy one of those would be to lug around never mind how hugely expensive such a lens would be.
