An ordinary life....

True Blue...

Alarm went off at 6am, I grunted and re-set it for 7am.  Even then it was a struggle to get up.

There was a knock at the door at 8.30am.  It was a delivery driver wanting to deliver a load of breeze blocks but there was no one on site.  Thankfully I was dressed but no make up on and still had a towel on my hair but I don't think I traumatised him too much.   He made a quick phone call to the builder and 5 minutes later they guys arrived to allow him to off load the delivery.

After lunch Alan and Ed headed off to visit Gill.  They're not back yet but I know he will be so excited about seeing her.

I've had a more productive afternoon than yesterday's snooze fest.  A wee wander in the garden before lunch then my head down this afternoon sending emails and making phone calls re. the building work.

Phoned the Aga engineer to let him know work has commenced and that the builder will be in touch to arrange the dates when he needs to come in to move the Aga. Advised we have decided to go with converting the Aga to electric.

Have researched granite kitchen worktops as we have completely changed our mind about having black granite and are going with a light colour instead.  Also been researching build in garden seating as I fancy something like this in the side garden once all the work is complete.  Also looking at lantern skylights for the garden room and deciding if it should be white or grey externally (internally it will be white)

So many decisions suddenly have to be made, my mind is boggling!

Also confirmed with the hospital today that Alan will be attending on 29th June to have the gastrostomy fitted.   Fingers crossed he stays well between now and then as I really don't want any more delays.

David is off seeing Coldplay tonight so I hope to have a proper blip catch up after tea :-)
