Hot Thursday

Tess came back from a lovely sleep-over with a good friend and was happy but tired all day. She lay on the floor of the sitting room for hours refusing to do much other than empty board games all over the floor and rant like an old woman about how she saw children as young as three out after dark last night. She perked up eventually and built this tower and then went outside in a swimsuit and winter boots.

Richard was working, Joel was working and Gemma went to the beach (for the first time in ages! She's been pale and interesting for a while and it's a relief when she gets out to top up her vitamin D)

It's been steaming hot (compared with the previous few months). Days like this make you think seriously about having a nap early afternoon!
