Snow Down Under

INSIDE LOOKING OUT:

A real pea souper all morning; finally clearing in the afternoon to reveal a patch of blue sky, the size of a pocket handkerchief. This view from my kitchen window looking north over the courtyard, the only colour coming from two brave maples which, despite the weather, refuse to relinquish their leaves. One, Esk Sunset, I blipped a week ago. A haze hangs over the lake, due no doubt, to the residents stoking their wood fires to counteract this raw day. There is an eerie beauty about it, which I nearly blipped but heck, there will be loads more opportunities with the winter days ahead.
