Ladies With A Green Mission Against The Odds.

 On going to check if the Majestics were back I met these ladies..It was still hot this morning yet here in the middle of considerable  squalour they were getting stuck in . Last year the council gave a sum of money and raised flower beds were created .It was lovely .This year the area has been trashed & abused  by the individuals you can see in the background ( right)  who use the railway arches as home , lavatory , dumping ground and more.The beds are often full of glasses , bottles , joghurts etc . It gives me pleasure to show this  work and the extra shows them leaving "taking their rubbish with them ".The Railways who own the land , arches and arm of the Rochdale will do nothing . The brickwork will suffer and tax payers no doubt will have to pay .The arm of the canal is a choked up pit of garbage .Public health and Environmental have chosen to ignore. This area is fast becoming 'Satans hell hole' left as it is to the druggies , dropouts and such who leave a stench second to none .Yet still the Castlefield Forum try to do their bit and against considerable odds , keep it clean .My second extra shows how a certain type never put rubbish where it belongs , nor do a thing to be civilized .Railways take note .
