A New Day
A busy day starting with some housework. Lots done as everyone was out as they had all been to see Coldplay last night and had stayed over in Glasgow.
I caught the bus into Inverness. A lovely ride especially as it went down to North Kessock and I could see some dolphins.
A quick look in a few shops and then off to café Artysans to meet A new Day and her friend L. Good timing as we were both a bit early. Wonderful to meet Brenda at long last and we made the most of our short time before they both headed back to the Bus Station for their journey home.
I actually went to the shops after, something I do nt do very often and I did buy a few new tops ready for our holiday.
A walk along the High Street and down to the River and along to The Waterside where I sat and waited for Mike to join me. Had a High Tea which was very tasty and then off to the Ironworks for the opening of Xpo North. A display of 3d images by Glasgow Uni one of Maeshowe so that was interesting. This was followed by a fashion show by the Glasgow design students, some interesting fashion ;) I do nt normally take photos of people but I quite enjoyed taking some photos.
We managed to have a quick look in the Chapel Yard Cemetery next door. It's often locked so it was really interesting to be able to go in.
It is one of three ancient burial grounds, probably dating from 1233.Some excellent carvings and a great cross.
Sorry really behind with comments etc, hopefully catch up soon.
