London to Rio

I have arrived safely in London and this comes via my phone after a very pleasant evening sampling the hospitality around Greenwich. A mixture of excitement and sadness today. The Games excite me beyond belief but this will be the longest time I have ever spent away from Mrs P and Adam.

The trip down was great with good company on the train and the hostel is good too, very friendly.

I received some lovely letters today from the children of a school I visited and managed to get a reply written before I left Lancashire.

I'm short of internet connection while I'm here so please forgive any lack of comment on your blips

In other news I have a date for a minor op that I need. Do they allow blips from operating theatres?

Brazilian tv are taking a London bus around the Olympic venues and broadcasting live to Brazil each night.

Tonight they are linking to a street party with Fifty Sark in the background.
More tomorrow. I'm keeping a written diary as well. I want to remember it all
