Catching the Fever
Matt and I openned our Olympic account today with a trip to Old Trafford to see a couple of games of football (soccer to you North Americans).
We had a lot of fun, there was a real nice feel about it all, low alcohol, lots of families, lots of nationalities and some half decent football too. Having been warned of queues and delays, we parked next to the ground and joined a queue of 1 to get security vetted. They did run out of food between the 2 games which was a bit of a nonsense.
Todays blipfoto was of the very excicted real live steak eating Uraguyan lady behind us here singing the national anthem with gusto. There will be a lot of flag waving over the next couple of weeks. She was delighted with their win.
In game two GB let a let a late goal spoil the party a little for a draw. Everyone though seemed to have been pleased with the football party in Manchester.
