The big picture

The country is caught up with such excitement with tonight's opening ceremony show. I'm home alone for the next 4days but it won't dampen my enthusiasm.

I remember the outburst of national pride when we were awarded the games, then the devastation with the bombings in London that followed on so soon afterwards. For the athletes of the world gathering and for our country, getting to this point has been some journey. My prayer is for safety, goodwill, joy, and true sportsmanship. May we all be inspired.
