Bigger

When we viewed the Dell House this area was introduced as the Tennis Court.  It was questionable whether there was enough space for Table tennis let alone the Lawn stuff.

Some months of hacking and a larger area was revealed; and a mountain of builders rubble and a collapsed slope / pathways. Hmm.

The rubble was mostly sorted by hand to separate rubbish from useful stuff, with some curious discoveries along the way. Now comes the start of rebuilding the side so the paths along the top are stable and we can restore the path between the two big yews on the left, where only remnants of the original steps remain.

Firstly that means digging out even more to give space to build a retaining wall.  Glad we got the bigger digger today.
