A low-key sort of a day. Dull, drizzly weather didn't inspire us to do anything exciting even though it was Roger's birthday! I fixed us American pancakes with raspberries and blueberries for breakfast as a treat. I spent some time around lunchtime watching the birds - we had quite a few visitors - blue tits and coal tits are probably our most frequent visitors, but the woodpeckers have become regular visitors this past week or so, then we also had a nuthatch and chaffinch. After lunch, Roger had a phone call from our youngest daughter Laura who, together with a couple of her friends from church, sang him Happy Birthday in Romanian! Later in the afternoon we managed a walk in the forest without getting too wet! This evening we enjoyed dinner out in Fontainebleau, and are now watching the football - come on England, we need a goal!!
