2016 Thursday -- Commencement and Celebrations

The pre-commencement reception for faculty started at 4:30. Four faculty are retiring and they were recognized with honor. All the department chairpersons were acknowledged for their hard work, and three of us were honored for receiving the rank of Full Professor. I was one of those three (in the black robe).

This is the college's 25th Anniversary, so the actual commencement ceremony, which started at 6:00, had a few extras -- confetti shot into the air above the graduates as they were told to move their tassels, and fireworks at the very end.

This was my 25th year at the college, so I have memories scattered throughout the college's history. It is a great place to work.
