First Quarter Moon
Inspired by our recent "Star Party" experience, I spent twenty dollars on a used 2.25 inch refractor telescope at my neighbor's yard sale.
Lots of fun tonight looking at the fuzzy red planet, and a mini-Saturn with its rings easily discernible, not to mention Jupiter with six of its Moons shining brightly.
Our beautiful Moon, however, has me enthralled!
I managed to get a photo by holding the camera steady at the eyepiece of the telescope.
Quite makeshift, but I am pleased with the result.
