Nest.

Just got back from a lovely walk out along one of the backwoods trails.   Very wet underfoot and a bit muggy, lots of mosquitoes to deal with!  But apart from that it was such a delight.   Found this little nest close to the trail in a low tree....no sign of eggs or anything, but looks fairly recent.  Also, lots of moose prints and scat that i take for being coyote - how i marvel at the thought and reality, that perhaps less than 24 hours before me, wild beasts roamed thro the very same path!  Pretty awesome!

Home now and with the whole day ahead, and staying out of the mudroom....think i'll play with some pastels...woo hoo, it's been too long!
