An ordinary life....

Castle, Kelpies, Cake...

Backblip

In that order :)

Much to my delight our blip guests emerged rested after a good nights sleep.

It wasn't long before Gitama and I were chatting away again like a pair of old fish wives, only stopping to scoff some pancakes, bacon and maple syrup.  So much to chat about and so little time.

After lunch we got ourselves organised and headed off to see the Kelpies.

As Stirling Castle was on our route we made a wee de-tour to stop and take photos of the Castle from the bottom of the rock then had a quick drive up to the Castle car park (sadly no time to go into the Castle) for more photo opps.

Soon we were on our way to the Kelpies and anticipation was fever pitch (only Peter had seen them before)  Well what can I say?  We were not disappointed.  They are amazing.   We were in complete awe of their sheer size and majesty.   I love them as much as my beloved Arria and that's saying something!

We had been quite disappointed in the weather when we got up but by the time we got to the Kelpies the rain had dried up and the moody sky was a perfect backdrop to these wonderful creatures.  I loved every minute there. I can see this will become a regular haunt.

Back home for coffee and cake then dinner.  Our lovely guests had time for a post dinner chat but all too soon it was time for them to leave and head back to Peter's flat to allow Gitama to get organised for the next leg of her adventure, this time in Ireland, in the company of another blipper.

Gitama, it was a joy and pleasure to meet you and spend time with you. Our time together was all too short (but huge fun :-) so I hope it won't be long till you return.

Your shots of the Kelpies are amazing and it was fantastic to share in your awe and admiration for them.  I am so happy that our lovely country has brought you so much pleasure.    Haste ye back x

P.S. See you soon Peter and look forward to hearing about your adventures with the slow cooker ;-)))
