Flowerhead.....!

Oh what dreary weather.!
So, an early blip....and more raindrops on the flower on one of my Cordylines ....this is just outside my patio doors and the smell of it is rather strong and not particularly pleasant...
I'm not sure how I feel about these plants now....I used to love them and we lost all three that we have in the extreme Winter of 2011....or so we thought!!!
But on the advice of one of our Irish gardening experts....we were told just to take down the rotted stems..(the leaves had already fallen off)...and wait to see if they would recover...
He reckoned the roots weren't dead....and by gum, was he right!!!
They have come back with such vigorous growth....!
P.S.....have just noticed the bleak grey sky in this shot...
More rain forecast today...
And poor Mel not impressed I think she can hear thunder in the distance..!
