More rain...and shopping

More rain and cool weather - although it is quite muggy when you exert yourself! I persuaded Luke to come shopping with me as he was in need of some clothing (yet again) and when we got to Kingston I was delighted to see there was a big sale on at Bentalls. We managed to get him two pairs of trousers and I also bought two pairs for Adam - who desperately needs clothes - which Luke tried on, on his behalf, and we estimated the fit on Adam.

Then it was off to do some serious shopping - the boys share a car and it does not work, particularly as Luke will be living in a house at university from October and he wants to take a car back with him, which means it is not here when Adam needs it - so we agreed a few months ago to get another car as we are tired of the arguments over who uses the car. We had found a very good car online and so Luke and I went to look at it, and after test driving it and checking that the sound system works well, because of course that is the most important thing when buying a car (!!) - we decided to buy it. The garage have promised to paint over some wing mirror scratches (as it is not new) and we will pick it up next week. It is super efficient so hopefully it won't cost much to drive to and from Durham.

No time for photos today, but when we drove past my favourite pond on the way to the garage and I jumped out of the car and took this photo in the rain - as I liked the lily pads and flowers.
